Friends and Family,
It was a little over ten years ago I envisioned an environmental company that would focus on quality client service and volunteer work in the area of environmental consulting. The purpose was to incorporate a balanced (eco-hydrological) approach to projects in a simple environmental (Eco) office near the ocean (Kai). On Saturday June 8th, 2009, EcoKai was born from a small location in downtown Manhattan Beach. This date is the first international World Oceans Day as recognized by the United Nations. While EcoKai celebrates our foundation the international community celebrates World Oceans Day each year on June 8th!
During the last ten years EcoKai’s partnership with organizations like 1% for the Planet, Friends of Ballona Wetlands, Bay Foundation, LMU, Los Angeles Water Keeper have provided tremendous educational opportunities and heightened awareness of environmental issues throughout the region. I am honored that last year EcoKai staff members donated over 300 hours of volunteer time on the communities behalf and have donated almost $50,000 in in-kind services to 1% for the Planet non-profits.
EcoKai continues to find success in the consulting industry with continued work in both Texas and California in water and biological related services.
Someone once said – “People are your most important resource”, this is especially true with EcoKai! OUR company is literally fit and held together by that which each team member brings to the table. I appreciate the progress we have made and your continued support and trust in our team. Together, let’s make a difference.
Much Aloha – Mahalo!!
