CSULA Career Day
May 27th, 2011
By: Jim Burton, PE

EcoKai Environmental, Inc and the Friends of Ballona Wetlands (FBW) were welcome participants in the 12th annual California State University Los Angeles (CSULA) Career day held by the Geography Department in King Hall. It was an excellent opportunity to speak with students and faculty about the current job market and how geography plays a key role on environmental projects.

Jim Burton and Carlos Carreon joined Lisa Fimiani and Christian Alvez of FBW for an evening of discussion and wonderful food as students from CSULA and Mt. San Antonio College discussed career decisions in the field of geography with many participating agencies. The 2011 participants included the California Institute of Technology Jet Propulsion Laboratory, National Park Service, Los Angeles County Fire Department, Los Angeles Unified School District, California Department of Transportation, Friends of Ballona Wetlands, and, of course, EcoKai Environmental.

EcoKai is proud to sponsor and participate in educational programs that support environmental awareness and promote the conservation of our natural resources. We appreciate the leadership and pioneering efforts of Dr. Stephen LaDochy and his colleagues at CSULA and JPL.
